About The Gremlins

The Church Gremlins is a 3-fold ministry offered to youth from about 10 years and up. Every other Friday, starting at 6:30pm, the youth are welcomed to the church and enjoy a few hours together with food, fun, and fellowship. We play games and other activities, watch movies, have time for prayer, and of course, food. Depending on what is planned, we spend our time at the church, or venture out into the community.

On the Sundays following Youth Group, we offer a Sunday School environment, where the youth gather during service time, and learn the basics of the Bible, through reading the scriptures, media presentations, skits, and various other activities in a classroom setting. On the Sundays when we are not in the class setting, the youth are invited to the Worship Service, and take part in various ways. Some sing in the choir, some serve, others assist in the junior SS class. Every member of the Church Gremlins is offered the opportunity to train as an Altar Server, and is welcome to serve any Sunday we are not in class.

The Gremlins work in the church, as a form of in-reach to our immediate faith community. We also take part in fundraising activities and outreach programs, which benefit our group, our parish, our community, and also the Bethany Centre, in our companion diocese in South Africa.

All youth from about aged 10 and up are welcome to join us anytime we meet, whether it is on Sundays for our “Back to the Bible” lessons, or our Youth group on Fridays. We look forward to meeting you!!
