A little on how we are helping...
We are doing a lot in our community to raise awareness on a number of issues.
Always first and foremost in our parish is taking care of the people who are closest to us! Families come first and we offer help and support to all of the members of our church and beyond to make sure they are getting through life with the necessary tools, to remain happy and focused while completing all of the tests and challenges that God may toss us throughout our time here on earth.
We are helping those who are farthest away from us as well. Being involved in the Bethany Home in Umtata Africa has given us the ability to express our empathy and to put that to work with organizations like The A.C.W, Cent-A-Meal, Jazz Vespers and lots of others to raise a grand total of $13,472.21 for our Companion Diocese of Umtata, and put that money to work saving lives and reducing the suffering of kids under 6 who are abandoned, abused, neglected, or affected by H.I.V.
PWRDF Haiti Earthquake relief Bar-B-Que. The food was great, and more importantly people came hungry, and prepared to open their wallets and cheque books and we raised $7,035. It was matched by the government relief program and was sent to do great things in Haiti.
